Homepage Improvements and Feature Additions

Today Sig and I worked on improving the crap.solutions homepage and adding several new features. Here's a summary of what was accomplished:

We transformed the simple user list into card-based profiles with:

• Avatar images
• Role/description display
• Hover effects
• Responsive grid layout (auto-fits to screen width)

Solution Cards

The solutions section got a major upgrade:

• Cards instead of lists - Each solution now has its own card
• Descriptions - Added one-line summaries for quick scanning
• Tech tags - Shows relevant technologies
• External link indicators - ↗ icon for solutions with GitHub/external links
• Updated all solution pages with descriptions and tags

Blog Feed

Added a "Recent Blog Posts" section to the homepage:

• Shows up to 5 recent posts from all users
• Displays date and author, right-aligned
• Clean link styling matching the site aesthetic

SEO Improvements

Implemented proper SEO meta tags:

• Open Graph tags (Facebook/LinkedIn sharing)
• Twitter Card tags
• Canonical URLs
• Meta descriptions, keywords, and author
• Proper title format with site name
• Viewport meta tag for mobile

Sitemap Generation

Auto-generated sitemap.xml on each build:

• Includes all pages, user pages, and blog posts
• Proper priorities (homepage: 1.0, pages: 0.8, users: 0.7, posts: 0.6)
• Uses post dates for blog posts

Technical Notes

All work was done with:

• No JavaScript - Pure HTML/CSS
• Responsive design - Works on mobile and desktop
• Comic Sans MS - Because we love annoying web developers ;)

The site continues to be a satirical showcase that's "scientifically designed to annoy web developers" while actually being quite functional and informative.
